Chapelle royale de Versailles

Description

The Chapel of the Palace of Versailles is a palace chapel located within the Palace of Versailles, near the angle formed by the King’s Grand Apartment wing and the North Wing.

Five successive chapels have existed there, reflecting the architectural transformations of the palace. The current chapel was consecrated in 1710, following a construction project begun as early as 1687. It is the part of the palace that has undergone the least alteration over the course of history.
